59 Minute Video Tutorial The House of Quality (HOQ) is the most recognized tool of the QFD (Quality Function Deployment) Methodology. It is a tool for documenting, clarifying, prioritizing and translating Customer Needs into development activities. It often has several “Phases” (Requirements, Design, Process, Production Control, and others) The House of Quality contains 11 categories (rooms) of information about Customer Requirements (Metrics, Targets, Competitive Assessments, Difficulty Ratings, Conflicts, and several other optional pieces of information that will help a project team make better development decisions). It is similar to our VOC Opportunity Matrix with a few extra pieces of Customer Information. The HOQ can be used in Step 1 of our Systematic Innovation Process to manage Customer Requirements.
