Description
28 Minute Video Tutorial Ideality, a TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) mindset can change the current paradigms by helping the developer understand and strive for the “ultimate goal” of the situation. Ideality is actually more of a trend, goal, direction or vision than it is a “tool”. It is also very similar to the concept of Value which is a ratio of Function to Cost. Man-made systems must evolve to become more Ideal (have a higher value) over time in order to survive. Ideality is a qualitative measure that serves as a guideline during problem solving and new idea generation to help stretch the imagination and minimize psychological inertia. It is kept in mind in all 8 steps of our Systematic Innovation Framework. In order to achieve the Ideal System, there are about 2 dozen specific tools used in Step 4 that, when used properly, will directly improve the “Ideality” of any system by simultaneously and intentionally working on both the numerator and denominator of the Value and Ideality equations. V=F/C, V=F²/P+C, or I=∑UF/∑HE
